My wife (49) and I (50) did the Salt & Pepper trip, which
was very nice. It included round trip transportation to the West
End, a beach with lounge chairs and umbrellas for the day, decent
snorkeling off shore, and a good local lunch, which included a
lobster tail.

ROATAN Island off the coast of Honduras. The people on this island
are very poor and most of the income comes from tourist. That
doesn't stop the natives from being friendly and nice to all.
When you get off the boat look to your right and Chef Paul David
will be asking you to go to his restaurant the Salt & Pepper
for a local lobster lunch... Paul is a true 'Treasure Island'
guy been there 28 yrs. Food was good. Swimming was great. This
part of the island seems to be 'party island'. Everyone made us
older folks feel right at home. Paul even got a lady that required
a wheelchair to ride the boat and go to Salt & Pepper without
a problem...

In Roatan, we met Paul David at the dock and went over to his
restaurant area for the day. We had transportation to and from
Salt & Pepper, beach chairs, and a lunch that included fresh
lobster. Lunch was great! We had remembered to pack our insect
repellant, so we weren't bothered by the sand fleas. The water
was crystal clear. Great Day. |
